About our coverage

Editorial standards

Local, useful, accurate

We cover openings, developments, events, neighborhoods, and people across Hampton Roads. We aim to distinguish verified information from plans and opinions, and link to original sources when possible.

Editorial and paid partnerships

Editorial decisions are separate from paid partnerships. Feature Friday nominations are free, and payment does not guarantee editorial coverage. Sponsored content is identified as paid or sponsored.

Corrections and updates

Details change, especially event schedules and proposed developments. If you spot an error, contact us with the story and supporting information. We review corrections and update information when warranted.
