Hampton Roads Unlocked is a local media company based in Hampton Roads, Virginia. This page explains what we collect when you use this website and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Newsletter subscriptions. Information you submit through the embedded beehiiv subscription form, which may include your email address and other fields requested by that form. Newsletter subscriptions are managed by beehiiv.
- Inquiries. Whatever you type into our partnership, speaking, coaching, mortgage and real estate, referral, contact, or Feature Friday forms — typically your name, business, email, phone, and the details of your request.
- Standard technical data. Basic analytics about how pages are used so we can improve the site.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to inquiries, provide the newsletter you request, and operate our local media, partnership, and other services. Newsletter subscriptions are processed by our email platform, beehiiv, which receives the information submitted through its embedded form. We do not sell newsletter addresses to advertisers.
Feature Friday nominations
If you nominate a business, we may contact the business owner to confirm they want the feature. We do not publish your contact details unless you ask us to credit you.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any edition, and you can ask us to delete the information we hold about you. Coaching session notes are kept private and are never published.
